Position Available: State Rehabilitation Council Facilitator—ID# 27576
Pacific Basin Rehabilitation Research and Training Center. Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Pacific Basin Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (PBRRTC), located Honolulu, Hawai‘i. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, and availability of funds.
Minimum Monthly Salary: $2,189.00. (there is a broader range for this salary)
Duties:
Coordinates and manages State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) and functions under the general direction of the Executive Committee of the SRC and apprises the Director of PBRRTC of activities.
The SRC Facilitator serves as staff to the SRC and enables the SRC to carry out its federally mandated responsibilities which is to assist Hawai‘i Vocational Rehabilitation and Services for the Blind Division (HVRSBD) to improve services to clients and employers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in any subject field.
- (Five (5) or more years of responsible professional work experience in a rehabilitation-related or disability rights related field, of which three (3) years shall have been in project management, can be substituted in lieu of the Bachelor’s Degree.)
Experience:
- One to three (1-3) years of experience in output and performance or outcome measurement.
- Experience in communicating and reporting with federal agencies and representatives.
Abil/Know/Skills:
- Knowledge of disability service systems and the field of vocational rehabilitation; computers, data collection, input, management, including the use of alternative formats for the dissemination of information to special populations.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and evaluation.
- Knowledge of vocational rehabilitation reporting requirements for program and fiscal data.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment and disability law. Knowledge of the legislative process.
- Public speaking skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in working successfully in Human Services and/or Employment Recruiting with public and/or private employers.
- Current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) certification.
- Knowledge of Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) Case Service Report.
- State Rehabilitation Council experience in conducting applied research in a vocational rehabilitation setting; specialized training in information technology, and
- a record of success in obtaining competitive grants.
- Knowledge of pricing or pricing methodology.
